Suicide Alertness for Everyone (safeTALK)
Instructor: Natalie Hake
Using a simple yet effective model, safeTALK empowers everyone to make a difference. safeTALK is a three-hour face-to-face workshop featuring powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice. At a safeTALK workshop, you’ll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support.
A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort.
Learning Objectives
- Move beyond common tendencies to miss, dismiss, or avoid suicide
- Identify people who have thoughts of suicide
- Apply the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe) to connect a person with thoughts of suicide to suicide first aid intervention caregivers
Cost: $55 – 3 hour Workshop and includes a workbook.
