Shave for Mental Health

Tina Herman is showing her support for mental health and encourages you to join her on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 4pm at Chemical Addiction Hair Studio, 1139 Hipwell Rd Castlegar, BC (located in Ootischenia, the outskirts of Castlegar). 

Tina’s hair, and if there are other participants involved in the hair shave, will be donated to 360 Hair in Langley, BC which will go towards making free wigs for cancer patients under the age of 19.

Mental health is an important issue in Tina’s life as mental illness has affected some of her family and friends.  This is Tina’s way of showing her support.

Please support Tina by donating to Canadian Mental Health Association for the Kootenays.  Our mandate is “to promote mental health, wellness and emotional stability of all individuals within the communities we serve”. Our programs include youth, women, volunteer and crisis services, affordable and low income housing and community education committed to raising awareness with trainings in ASIST, safeTalk, Mental Health First Aid, Community Bystander, and Living Life to the Full.
