Cranbrook’s Extreme Weather Resources

When there is an extreme weather forecast for Cranbrook, there are organizations offering support and resources to those in need.

The overnight shelter and the daytime warming spaces are not able to take in pets.  However, if someone with pets needs to access a shelter or warming space please contact ANKORS.  They have some ideas of how to care for the pets during the cold weather.

Another addition to Cranbrook’s Extreme Weather Plan is Alliance Church being open on weekends 8:30-7:00 pm as a resource for people needing a warm space.  This is a much-needed service and a great addition to the plan.

ANKORS will also be extending their office hours Mon-Fri 8:00 am -7:00 pm when the weather triggers the opening of the over-night shelter. With these resources, our hope is those in need will have access to shelter and will stay warm.
